Drive Arthur for £10 Platform 4

Bank Holiday Monday 31st August ONLY! 

Why not enhance your day out with us by driving one of our steam engines for just £10! 

Book a turn on one, or both of our amazing locomotives! 

We will be running sessions with Arthur, our Hunslet 0-6-0ST No.3782 and Millom, a Hudswell Clarke 0-4-0ST No. 1742. 

Sessions will take place during the day at the following times:

Platform 3 - Millom  11am to 12pm, 12pm to 1pm, 1pm to 1.30pm

Platform 4 - Arthur  2pm to 3pm, 3pm to 4pm.

You will be met by our friendly crew liaison on the platform, who will go through a safety briefing with you before your turn. Your turn will take place during the session time. Please ensure you are at the correct platform during your booked time slot. 

Spaces are limited so prebooking is essential. 

Available to 16yrs and over and participants must also have a valid entrance ticket to the Auto Fest event. 

Please note that by purchasing this experience, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions: 

Steam locomotives are hot and dirty. Please be aware that by participating in this activity you may get your clothes dirty or damaged. Please ensure you wear suitable clothing and sturdy shoes/boots. The loco crew will ensure your experience is as safe as possible but there are many hot surfaces and a fire in a locomotive cab. These could, potentially, cause burns to clothes or skin. You get on the locomotive footplate and participate in this activity at your own risk.

You must be physically able to climb up onto the footplate (3 vertical steps) and also vacate the footplate quickly in case of an emergency. You must be able to fully understand and comprehend any instructions from the loco crew. You must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Drive for £10 bookings are on the understanding that persons travel at their own risk and the Quainton Railway Society Ltd cannot be held responsible for any damage or injury howsoever caused. It is understood that you will take any action that the Locomotive Driver asks you to, to ensure your safety. All participants are at the discretion of the Loco driver.
