HERITAGE OPEN DAY FESTIVAL - Sunday 20th September
Special Heritage Open Day with FREE ADMISSION!
On Sunday 20th September, as part of the nationwide Heritage Open Day Festival, visitors can come for free to our Museum Day on this date. The whole site will be open, including our large heritage railway museum and stunning visitor centre with cafe and gift shop, however there are no steam train rides on a museum day. There are still plenty of steam locos and carriages to look at and learn about! Our miniature railway will be running, but please note, there is a £1.50 charge to ride on this (under 3s are free).
You do not need to book tickets for this free event - just turn up on the day for free admission. If you prefer to pre-book your tickets, you can do so, but if you choose to book tickets through our website, you will be charged a £3 booking fee. You are welcome to pop in in advance and book your tickets here without a booking fee.
We can't wait to be a part of this festival and hold this special free event, which we have never done before, and look forward to welcoming you here in September!
